Over the past few years you have seen two brands become huge in the street fashion scene: Supreme and Palace.
What’s interesting about both these brands is that they originate from the skate scene.
What really solidified this idea of the two scenes coming together was the recent video i-d made that profiles the professional skateboarder Blondey McCoy.
McCoy has become the poster boy for Palace Skateboards and I think more relationships between brands and skateboarders or even other types of personalities will become more common.
The reason I believe this is because I think the fashion world loves people like Blondey that live with passion and fill people with emotions. The fashion world is trying to tap into this raw emotion and align their brands with these types of people because that’s what fashion is anyways right? We’re trying to make people feel.
